SCHÖN, NACHHALTIG und GEMEINSAM, das sind die Werte, welche das Neue Europäische Bauhaus (NEB) bei der Gestaltung künftiger Lebensräume verbinden will. Diese Werte stehen auch im Zentrum des NEB-Projektes „Reallabor ZEKIWA“, das jetzt zwei Tage lang Studierende der Hochschule Anhalt und interessierte Menschen aus Zeitz zusammenführte. Letzte Woche (27.,28.5.) berieten sie im Stadtlabor an Modellen die Entwürfe von Studierenden unter der Überschrift „Was siehst du?“. Was die Studierenden sehen, präsentierten sie anhand eigener Entwürfe.
Am ersten Tag kamen sie mit ihren Ideen für mögliche Nutzungen des Erdgeschosses im ZEKIWA Hauptgebäude zu Wort. Schöne Ideen dabei. Flexibles und Funktionales war ebenso zu sehen wie Spielerisches und Dynamisches unter Verwendung verschiedenster Materialien je nach Nutzungsansatz. Was siehst du? – Im riesigen Coworking Space den Vorhang um deinen Arbeitsplatz schließen und konzentriert arbeiten, während darüber ein Kaffee getrunken wird? Vormittags Seminare besuchen und abends am gleichen Ort zur After Work Party abfeiern? Ein paar Stunden beim Bouldern verbringen und gleich um die Ecke bei frischen Säften Kraft tanken? Viel möglich in diesem „Raum der Möglichkeiten“, wie er an diesem Tag oft erwähnt wird. Zwischen den Vorträgen anregende Diskussionen und fachliches Feedback von der begleitenden Professorin und einem gestandenen Architekten aus Leipzig.
Und wie beantworten ZeitzerInnen die Frage „Was siehst du?“. Unterschiedlich. Freizeitangebote finden wir auf den Notizblättern, Café und Disko, Probenräume oder einfach nur eine grüne Oase als Ort der Begegnung. Bleiben wir gespannt und verfolgen den Raum der Möglichkeiten.

Als ein zentrales positives Momentum herausgearbeitet wurde die Lage. Unweit von Bahnhof und der Weißen Elster und, wenn auch mit topografischer Herausforderung, die Nähe zur Innenstadt – das sei unbedingt ein wichtiges Argument, wenn es um Angebotsgestaltung für potenzielle Zuzügler geht.
So wandern wir gut gestimmt am zweiten Tag beherzt durch das gesamte Areal rund um die beiden ZEKIWA Gebäude. Ehe die Studierenden ihre Entwürfe an den Wänden erläutern, platzieren sie zur Lokalisierung ihrer Ideen Minigebäude in das aufgestellte Landschaftsmodell. Das ist gut für das Raumgefühl. Dieses Areal, in der Bebauung jedenfalls mit schönen einladenden Orten für Begegnung und Entspannung zu entwickeln, ließ sich als roter Faden erkennen.Die erdachten Modelle reichen vom Tiny- bis zum Reihenhaus mit unterschiedlichen und spannenden Ideen für die Gestaltung der Räume dazwischen. Manche Überlegungen nutzen vorhandenen Bestand, andere würden neu bauen, die nächste Idee geht über das ZEKIWA Areal hinaus und bezieht den Weg bis zur Innenstadt in das Konzept ein.
Auf welchen Wegen, Räumen oder Gebäuden auch immer ZeitzerInnen und die ProtagonistInnen in den NEB-Projekten wieder zusammentreffen – es lohnt, miteinander über die Zeitzer Räume und deren Möglichkeiten zu sprechen, auch zu streiten. Denn es sind unsere gemeinsamen Räume.

Was meinen Sie, wird Zeitz und werden die Menschen in Zeitz das Talent haben, mit dem Struktwandel ihre Stadt neu zu erfinden? Jedenfalls haben sie dafür starke Partner. Das Netzwerk der Initiative „Neues Europäisches Bauhaus“ von Sachsen-Anhalt unterstützt sie dabei. Die Partner rund um das Bauhaus Dessau, die Staatskanzlei und die Hochschule Anhalt sind sich dabei einig – ja, Zeitz hat das Talent, sich neu zu erfinden. Und das Potenzial dafür.Dieses Resümee zogen die Partner gestern (29.3.2022) in Zeitz als es darum ging, eine Bilanz aus der Startphase des gemeinsamen Projektes zu ziehen. Hatten sie tags zuvor bereits die ersten Ideen zur Entwicklung des ZEKIWA-Altstandortes der Öffentlichkeit präsentiert (wir berichteten) ging es heute darum, sich gegenseitig über den Verlauf der Startphase zu unterrichten. Denn das Projekt ist in sechs Arbeitspakete mit jeweils anderer Verantwortlichkeit strukturiert, gegenseitige Information ist dabei wichtig. Wir haben das Netzwerk über den Tag begleitet.

Für einige TeilnehmerInnen war es der erste Besuch. Hier, wo derzeit das einstige Produktionsgebäude aus der Gründerzeit zum Stadtarchiv umgebaut wird, steht nun das Gelände des ZEKIWA-Altstandortes im Fokus des Sachsen-Anhalt-Projektes. Gleich nebenan die imposante, in ihrer Grundstruktur erhaltene Bauruine des ehemaligen Verwaltungsgebäudes. Ein Ort mit viel Potenzial.Genau hier will das Sachsen-Anhalt Projekt Szenarien und Prototypen für künftiges Leben, Wohnen, Bauen und Arbeiten entwickeln. „… eine „hypothetische Konstruktion möglicher Zukunftsbilder auf der Grundlage von vergangenem und gegenwärtigem Wissen“, wie es im Projekt beschrieben ist. An diesem Ort finden wir beides, das Vergangene und das Gegenwärtige. Ein idealer Ort, der mit seinen wirtschaftlichen und sozialen Veränderungen eben prototypisch ist für viele Regionen in Europa.

In der berühmten Rahnestrasse leuchtet seit Jahren ein Licht – die Alte Bibliothek, auch Kunsthaus Zeitz genannt. Unzählige Gesprächsrunden über Kunst und Kultur, Gott und die Welt, Ausstellungen, Ateliergespräche, Swing und Jazz, wichtige und weniger wichtige Begegnungen, ein Pop up Restaurant, studentische Visionen erlebten die ZeitzerInnen hier. Seit kurzem gibt es hier neue Aufbruchstimmung, nebst einer mit gelassener Zuversicht und gesundem Respekt gespickten freudigen Erwartung. Denn als Haberkorn & Wagener R20 GbR haben die heutigen Gastgeber das Haus gekauft. Sie wollen es als Ort für MacherInnen in Sachen Kunst und Kultur, als Kommunikationsraum und einen Treffpunkt für die Stadtgesellschaft erhalten und weiterentwickeln. Nach der Übernahmeparty vor kurzem heute also erster hoher Besuch.In Zeitz sind Agenten unterwegs. Die Bauhausagenten. Sie wollen in Zeitz die Potenziale von Kunst und kultureller Bildung erschließen. Während ihrer Zeit in Zeitz haben sie nach Recherchen und vielen Gesprächen die Bedarfe und Themen für ihre Beteilungsangebote definiert. Mit NO UFO haben sie sich auch schon einen Markennamen überlegt. Denn als Bauhausagenten wollen sie die Mitmachkräfte aktivieren, Lust auf eigene Aktivitäten bei den Menschen wecken und keineswegs eben als UFO, als Art Eindringlinge von außen wahrgenommen werden. In Schulen und Horten beginnend möchten sie, dass sich aus der Stadtgesellschaft heraus Zugehörigkeit und Verbundenheit entwickeln, die Menschen ihr Lebensumfeld selbst aktiv mitgestalten.

Manchmal zwingt eben nicht die Pandemie sondern die Zeitnot zum hybriden Veranstaltungsformat. So verfolgten Staatsminister Rainer Robra und die Bauhauschefin Dr. Barbara Steiner das Resümee „ihres“ Projektes auf der Leinwand. Am Ende zeigten sich beide mit der präsentierten Bilanz zufrieden. Auch die TeilnehmerInnen im Digitalisierungszentrum. Das gemeinsame Fazit: weitermachen. Trotz der Unwägbarkeit, die eine offene Entscheidung bei der Europäischen Kommission über die Projektförderung eben mit sich bringt, weitermachen und Lösungen finden.Die Startphase, das wird in der Bilanz aus den präsentierten Ergebissen der Netzwerkpartner deutlich, ist vielversprechend. Über Workshops, Ideen für den ZEKIWA-Altstandort und Gespräche der Projektpartner haben wir zwischenzeitlich berichtet. Was sich als wichtige Aufgabe durch alle Bereiche des Projektes zieht: die Menschen in Zeitz mitnehmen, Ihnen Lust darauf machen, ihre Stadt neu zu erfinden.
